How they work
The filters in Blueair products are HEPA but with more open pores to allow flow more easily and quietly through the filter. To achieve full HEPA air purifier effectiveness, the system has internal electrostatic ionizers that charge the flow prior to passing through the filter media. This causes the particles to be attracted to the filter media. The negative ions are filtered out of the flow stream by the activated carbon and tests have shown an actual reduction in ozone.
Smoke Stop Filter Option
For use in smoking environments these air purifiers are also available with a Smoke Stop filter set making them a great smoke air purifier. These filters are loaded with an extra-heavy amount of activated carbon to absorb the smoke chemicals and particles.

The new Blueair 203 in-room air purifier is the only air purifier with its room capacity to use HEPASilentâ„¢ technology, a combination of the best features of electrostatic and mechanical filter technology that allows delivery of more clean air, at a faster rate, with less noise.
The 203 is among the highest energy efficient and quietest operating air purifiers in its class, with a room capacity of approx 20 sq. metres. The unit is available in white or silver.
Blueair is the system for people living with allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions, or for anyone who wants cleaner, more breathable air.
